GVI Inc ., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Logistics Manager to join our team in the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performing material forecasting and procurement for the Navy Array Technical Support Center (NATSC), Newport RI.

• Research material requirements.

• Forecast quantities needed based on anticipated operational requirements and/or historical usage rates.

• Research compliant vendor sources and placing (or assist) orders for material.

• Ensure material ordered conforms to technical specifications and requirements Inventory maintenance.

• ERP System logistics including parts identification and tracking.

• Generate weekly and/or monthly reports for the customer and direct supervisors.

• Updating/maintaining a purchasing database and inventory tracking.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Typical Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 5 years work experience.

• Active DoD security clearance.

• Knowledge of Navy terminology and acronyms, along with engineering terminology.

• Knowledge of the Navy ERP system.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite for generating reports, spreadsheets, and graphs.

• Previous experience in material requirements forecasting and conformance to standards.

• Previous experience researching and validating vendors to provide specification-compliant materials in the quantities and timeframes required.

• Experience performing online database entry, update, and lookup activities.

• Functional understanding of material specifications, obsolescence, and suitable substitution.

• Recent knowledge and experience with database entry/lookup using the NATSC Depot Application (NDA).

• Recent experience using the procurement functions of SAP or similar online system.
