    SAIC is looking for a Logistics Analyst in Crane, IN to support the U.S. Navy.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    This position will provide administrative, logistics and data entry support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Electro-Optic Technology Division including, but not limited to U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and other Department of Defense (DoD) and national security customers, including non-program record Program Management Offices.

    Job duties include

    • Receiving/issuing Multi Targeting Spectral System (MTS) for each EO/IR Line Replaceable Unit (LRU), Weapons Removable Assembly (WRA), Shop Replaceable Assembly (SRA), in Accountable Property System of Record (APSR)

    • Receiving assets from MSS Lab, Depot Operations Manager, Fleet Readiness Center Jacksonville (FRCSE) update information in the APSR data base

    • Issuing new and repaired assets back to the appropriate activity

    • Receiving new assets from outside sources and internal sources; properly catalog the items in the APSR database

    • Monitoring APSR database to ensure all transactions are completed including uploading documents in APSR, removing/adding new assets received and removing assets that are determined to be Beyond Economical Repair or are at end of life

    • Providing administrative, logistics and data entry support for EO/IR Multi Targeting Spectral System (MTS) Enterprise assets including, but not limited to, receiving/issuing Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), Weapons Removable Assemblies (WRAs), and Shop Replaceable Assemblies (SRAs) in Accountable Property System of Record

    • Receiving assets from the Multi Spectral Sensor (MSS) Lab, Depot Operations Manager, and Fleet Readiness Center Southeast Jacksonville (FRCSE JAX) and updating information in the APSR data base

    • Issuing new and repaired assets back to the appropriate activity

    • Receiving new assets in from outside and internal sources; properly catalog the items in the APSR database

    • Monitoring APSR database to ensure all transactions are completed, including uploading documents in APSR, removing/adding new assets received, and removing assets that are determined to be Beyond Economical Repair (BER) or are at end of life

    • Being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Depot level effort on APSR involving life cycle management of the MTS Enterprise systems from new items received through final disposition or transfer out of MTS Enterprise inventory

    • Track the issuing of spare parts and other MTS Enterprise related items to NSWC Commands

    • Maintaining records of new MTS Enterprise assets and those received for repair.

    • Providing periodic and ad-hoc reports to customer on status of assets available for fielding, repair status, shipping/receiving issues and other logistics functions associated with Airborne EO/IR effort

    • Calculating procurement lead time, repair turnaround time, spare parts health assessments based on usage, forecasting annual requirements, and assisting with forecasting demand based on previous and current data

    • Reporting should be in accordance with established MTS Enterprise database and tracking systems

    • Performing other Receipt, Segregation, Storage, and Issue (RSSI) duties as required to ensure items returned are entered in inventory, tracked, and managed by customers

    • Requesting Return Material Authorizations (RMA's) for material received from Vendors, returned from Vendor for repair, or field activities that are returning for warranty or non-warrant repair

    • Creating and submitting Purchase Request (PRs)

    • Tracking items returned for warranty repair and records maintenance associated with these transactions

    • Monitoring Period of Performance (PoP), incoming and outgoing assets, tracking contract performance for on-time delivery and late return of material

    • Reporting contractor performance metrics and parts usage metrics

    • Updating received material records and databases, and ensuring the asset is returned to the appropriate Customer/command

    • Tracking current and new IDIQ, Simplified Acquisition, and other contracts, updating existing MTS Enterprise database and tracking systems as required to ensure assets and material ordered are received and recorded

    • Receipting assets from outside and internal sources, and screening assets determined to be at end of life or obsolete

    • Processing assets that are determined to be obsolete to components of the MTS Enterprise but have value within DOD, for transfer and maintaining those records

    • Processing assets determined to be obsolete or BER for proper disposal with all documentation prepared and submitted in accordance with current standard processes

    • Preparing periodic and ad-hoc reports to provide updated status of transactions performed and any issues encountered/resolved

    • Preparing program status reports for items being tracked in inventory to include transactions that are considered delinquent

    • Maintaining documentation for assets disposed of through demilitarization or other methods

    • Preparing documentation required to comply with Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) requirements in accordance with current Navy and local policy, ensuring material received through external or internal sources are placed on record, and upon completion of work appropriate documentation in accordance with current Navy and local policy removing assets from record

    • Conducting required research and prepare documentation ensuring new material being procured or received has been cataloged with a Unique Material Number (UMM) to comply with ERP and OM&S requirements in accordance with current Navy and local policy

    • Responsible for transactions required through the Navy Enterprise Resource Program (Navy ERP) and OM&S to include shipping and receiving documentation, preparing, and tracking Material Movement Documents (DD-1149's, DD-1348's and locally required forms) to receive material in from warehouses or place material on record

    • Requesting Unique Material Master (UMM) numbers and extending material numbers to appropriate Storage Locations (SLOC's)

    • Preparing required documentation for supply requisitions to be entered into ERP for new or replacement MTS systems, parts, material, and other supplies in support of Code JXQ supported MTS Enterprise Systems including, but not limited to: MILSTRIP, Government Purchase Card, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) contracts

    • Tracking the status of outstanding requisitions, material received and update inventories

    • Attending and supporting ALL Government Supply Chain Management team trainings/meetings

    Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's Degree with at least three years' experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD or an Associate's degree with at least 5 years' experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD or equivalent military experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD in lieu of a degree

    • Must be able to obtain and keep a Secret security clearance; Interim Secret needed to start

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen

    • Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Program Analyst and Data Management

    • 2 years of experience in managing the process flow for receiving Airborne Electro-Optics/IR or similar assets, scheduling required maintenance, monitoring the maintenance and return of assets to the appropriate activity

    • 3 years of experience managing inventories including receiving, tracking and issuance of systems and repair parts and associated material as directed.

    • Proficient with computers and experience in Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Outlook

    • Proficient in the use of database applications such as Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) and SharePoint

    • Experienced in Inventory Database Management and tracking to include receipts, issues, and inventory adjustments using standard and specialized logistics inventory systems such as Navy Registry or other Navy, Army, Air Force, or DOD Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) systems

    • Experienced in Life Cycle Management and able to support multiple customers.

    • Able to manage all stages of procurement process from filling out required forms, requesting Unique Material Master (UMM) numbers and extend material numbers to appropriate Storage Locations (SLOC's), tracking progress of purchases, using current database, or generated excel spreadsheets

    • Able to track material usage and set re-order levels based on input from lab leadership or other input

    • Experienced with current shipping standards, DD1149, DD1348s, Shop Workload Management System (SWMS), Navy Enterprise Resource program (Navy ERP) or other maintenance management database

    • Must be familiar with and able to abide by current Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) requirements

    • Must have experience with DOD and US Navy requirements for end-of-life processing of obsolescence and obsolete systems and material

    • Must be able to determine appropriate DEMIL codes and follow current DEMIL and disposal processes for government property and material

    • Must be able to interact with field activities to provide information and status of material fielded and returned for repairs

    • Must be able to collect data from multiple sources, organize and analyze the information to produce reports, trend analysis and compile metrics

    • Able to work independently and be detail oriented, multi-task supporting multiple customers both internal and external

    • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs

    • Must be able to work for prolonged periods both sitting while working at a desk/computer and working on his or her feet

    • Must not have limited mobility precluding reaching overhead, stooping/kneeling or making repetitive motions
