Summary

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for financial management, reporting and analysis, and strategic direction of TPN in conjunction with the CEO and President; works in collaboration with the leadership team to meet growth and profit targets, as well as to support an organizational structure to drive continuous improvement and position TPN for long-term growth, while optimizing near and mid-term profitability. Maintain the highest degree of financial integrity in all aspects of the position, including assuring accounting for transactions and our business, and the reporting of such is, in compliance with FASB requirements and policies. This role also serves as the financial liaison between TPN and Omnicom Commerce Group, the division of Omnicom we are organized under.

Core Accountabilities

Responsible for overall management of TPN, in conjunction with the CEO and President and other members of the Executive Team, with respect to financial, operational and client matters focusing on achievement of Revenue and Profit targets.

Strategic Support:

Provide TPN's CEO, President and Executive Team scenario planning and insights to help drive operational decisions.

Ability to contribute to the vision of the organization and to partner to develop medium- and long-term plans for agency evolution

Establishes clear directions, sets objectives and communicates OMC and TPN vision and timelines; able to maintain two-way dialogue at all levels of organization.

Finance management

Responsible for financial planning, forecasting and budgeting process with TPN leadership team.

Responsible for financial process review and implementation of best practices across the agency to maintain appropriate procedures/process and controls in support of S-Box and other OMC/DAS and OCG standards; maintain an effective governance structure supporting the financial and operational management of the agency; manage operations in compliance with Omnicom's Grant of Authority and other policies/processes as implemented from time to time.

Responsible for the accurate and timely compilation and reporting of financial information in accordance with OCG and DAS/OMC policies.

Responsible for review and analysis of all financial statements submitted to OMC/DAS/OCG, including revenue recognition and growth/attrition, expense management and analysis versus Plans/Forecasts.

Responsible for working capital management to ensure cash maximization and mitigation of credit risk in conjunction with OCG/OMC/DAS policies.

Responsible to lead TPN systems initiatives to drive quality and timely financial reporting, as well as provide the requisite analysis to proactively manage revenue and profit drivers and ensure that TPN leadership have the data needed to make business decisions.

Responsible for audit processes, including external, internal, client, vendor and various tax entities as required.

Client & Vendor Management

Establishes and maintains effective relationships with clients and vendors, in partnership with agency leadership, and gains trust and respect. Always dedicated to meeting expectations and requirements of clients, both internal and external, while operating within OMC/DAS/OCG/TPN control parameters.

Responsible for financial leadership/structure development around client pricing and new business initiatives within TPN to ensure client profitability targets are achieved.

Ownership of client contract and Statement of Work review process to ensure the appropriate protection of the agency across all aspects of engagements/relationships (incl. liability caps, data privacy laws and partner/vendor performance, among others) and in compliance with OCG/OMC/DAS policies.

Staff Development

Clearly assigns responsibility for tasks and decisions, setting well-defined objectives and measures. Monitors progress and results, paying attention to small details without losing sight of the big picture.

Manage finance, payroll and accounting staff to support activities across FP&A, Payroll, Working Capital, and reporting in partnership with Omnicom Shared Services

Manage IT personnel to support activities in innovation and systems/process development

Proactively partner with HR to maintain ongoing development and mentorship for agency talent, as well as the financial/operational development of key leaders.

Sound Business and Professional Ethics

Requirements

Minimum 15 years' experience in finance or accounting; CPA or equivalent preferred.

Mix of public accounting and private sector experience preferred.

Strong organizational skills; excellent financial and managerial skills.

Effective oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and meet deadlines under pressure.

Self-motivated with a positive/professional approach to management; flexible and a good team player.

Curiosity regarding and willingness to learn about our industry; including trends and best practices. This includes a high level of cultural sensitivity to the industry and agency employees, while at the same time maintaining proper practices and controls.

Ability to review governmental regulations and adapt policies and procedures for compliance.
