Inventory Specialist

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to support an excellent organization in Portland. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a supply chain environment, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate proficiency in materials management and inventory control. As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software and tools.

• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure adequate stock levels.

• Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to track incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and loss.

• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize inventory levels.

• Generate reports and provide insights to management on inventory performance and trends.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory management processes and systems.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to inventory management.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a supply chain environment. A focus on materials management and inventory control is a plus but not required.

• Proficiency in inventory management software and tools preferred.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
