Inventory Control Specialist

We have an outstanding Contract position for anInventory Control Specialistto join a leading Company located inGarden City, NY.

Pay Rate: $25 / hour

Shift: Mon - Fri 7am - 3:30pm

This position controls the inventory of finished goods needed to fulfill forecasted sales and scheduled distribution plans.

Responsibilities :

• Monitors and updates schedules to reflect inventory turnover, stocking decisions, forecasting, and administrative controls

• Analyzes inventory levels, production speed, product demand, and shipment schedules to help guide on reordering levels for product availability

• Supports with the inventory system

• Works with the Material Handlers in supporting the operation's on-time efforts

• Other duties as assigned

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 3-5 years of previous materials experience or applicable experience required

• Must be able to complete heavy work assignments while remaining detail-oriented

• Must be a team player with a strong work ethic and can work in a fast-paced environment

• Must have a flexible schedule to be able to work overtime as required

• Must be able to communicate effectively both in written and verbal form

• Knowledgeable with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Agile, or any other ERP system) is a plus

• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs unassisted

• Must be able to work standing for at least 6-8 hours during the day
