We are looking for an HR professional with the experience, knowledge, skills, and drive to work hard and be successful right away. Our building is a brand-new additional location for one of our established customers that will be largely staffed by current Kuehne+Nagel leaders and associates. Your Role
You will have the opportunity to help build the culture in a new environment and be an integral part of site HR functions such as assisting in the recruitment and onboarding process, team building, payroll, investigations, data analytics, compliance, and special projects. We'll count on your years of experience to help ensure a productive and conflict-free workplace, enhance job satisfaction, maintain HR compliance, and keep employee retention rates high.
Your Responsibilities
Assistin the recruitment and onboarding process and conduct employee orientation
Help organizetraining and development initiatives
Support, create,and facilitate employee engagement programs
Provide support toemployees and resolve issues with HR-related topics
Promote HRprograms to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
Gather data todetermine and analyze HR metrics
Enhance jobsatisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits,and organizing team-building activities
Responsible for payroll
Use Excel, Word,and PowerPoint to create reports and presentations
Maintain localpersonnel files in electronic and paper form
Work a typicalschedule onsite Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, plus participate in a weekendrotation about once per month
Be approachable, yetmaintain professional decorum and HR etiquette while consistently demonstratingintegrity, flexibility, sound judgment, and confidentiality
Your Skills and Experiences
Bachelor'sdegree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or equivalent combinationof education and experience
3- 7+ years of experience in a full-time Human Resources role
Atleast 3 years of experience in a warehousing, manufacturing, or retailenvironment
Strong knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., PeopleSoft;UKGPro, Kronos)
Strongknowledge of HR-related laws such as Equal Employment Opportunity, Compensation and Benefits, FMLA,FLSA, Labor Relations, and Health and Safety
Experiencecreating PowerPoint presentations
Basicto intermediate Excel skills (basic formulas, PivotTables)
