    Who will you be working with?

    Wabtec is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services. Our team is focused on continually improving our best-in-class production capabilities. We combine deep domain expertise and tenured experience to deliver unparalleled products for our customers. Here at Wabtec in Fort Worth we build locomotives and large mining equipment. You'll interact daily with production team members as well as our salary support teams.

    How will you make a difference?

    As an HR generalist and member of the HR team, you will support our locomotive manufacturing facility in Fort Worth Texas. You will provide full-service HR support. You will act as a HR partner to site business leaders. This role will require you operate as a balanced employee advocate, and continually improve our site culture.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college

    • Minimum of 2-4 years professional work experience in the Human Resources function with responsibilities in HR coordination, recruiting and/or front-line employee support

    • High level of proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Excel, PPT, Word

    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, able to provide feedback and address employee issues in a positive manner

    • Understanding of LEAN concepts

    What will your typical day look like?

    • "Walking the floor," being available for employee & manager needs

    • Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to multiple managers and employees with specific focus on employee advocacy/engagement, conflict resolution, HR fundamentals and process training, employee relations management, performance management, career development, talent assessment, acquisition and retention and workplace investigations as appropriate

    • Provide employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues; escalates concerns beyond their scope; navigates employees and manager to HR Services when it is the more appropriate resource

    • Partner with team of HR Managers to drive supply chain related projects and initiatives

    • Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved

    • Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, performance management/discipline, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment

    • Lead key HR processes including supervisor training, staffing selection processes and employee development, etc.

    • Conduct HR training and support for functional processes like New Employee Orientation, New Manager Assimilation, Benefits Open Enrollment, etc.

    • Manage HR programs such as Disability, Worker's Compensation, FMLA

    • Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed

    • Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care

    What about the physical demands of the job?

    • Exposure to shop floor requires wearing PPE

    • Walking, climbing, stooping, stooping, bending, lifting is all part of the hands-on process

    You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

    Relocation assistance may be provided if eligibility requirements are met. This role is an on-site role.
