    The Job:

    The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department including recruitment, assisting with payroll processing, orientation and on-boarding for new employees, DE&I and employee engagement, training, assisting with the resolution of employee inquiries, and maintaining employee records. As an HR Coordinator, you'll be part of our Tools & Outdoor team working as an on-site employee.

    You'll get to:

    • Provides full range of day-to-day HR support for the business unit including staffing, recruiting/onboarding, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, payroll and benefits, training, and processing terminations.

    • Serves as the backup for payroll specialist; responsible for running payroll monthly and processing Rapid Pays as needed.

    • Acts as a primary contact for general human resources questions.

    • Assist with recruitment functions, including job fairs, job postings, and scheduling interviews.

    • Assist with onboarding and orientation of new hires which include tracking on-boarding activities through completion and entering new hire data, Forms I-9 verifications, updating Workday and other duties as assigned.

    • Support HR team administratively with drafting correspondence, spreadsheets, and creating presentations.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Maintain Employee Files and I9s; ensure compliance with all laws and SBD policies.

    • Highly involved in the planning and scheduling of employee engagement events; ownership of multiple projects

    • Support hourly performance review process.

    • Maintain internal communications boards, including HR employee communication board and digital postings.

    • Possess willingness to work necessary hours to cover off shifts for scheduled communication rhythms.

    • Manage HR project work that supports business strategies on as needed basis.

    • Additional duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned.

    The Person:

    • Bachelor's degree preferred; HR concentration preferred

    • 1-2 years of HR expereince; HR internships highly preferred

    • Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing and/or distribution environment a plus

    • Ability to use software and analytics to manipulate, analyze, and interpret data

    • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required

    • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally and at multiple levels in the organization.

    • Detail oriented, following instructions and procedures as directed without taking shortcuts

    • Must be results driven with emphasis on keeping customer and business commitments

    • Consistently demonstrates highest level of personal ethical conduct

    • Ability to manage and organize multiple priorities

    • Ability to work independently. Self-motivated individual with the desire to succeed and motivate others

    • Critical thinking and problem-solving ability: synthesize findings from analysis and draw conclusions to provide solutions. Identifies and works toward problem resolution.
