Grant Accountant

Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Grant Accountant in Mansfield, Connecticut. The successful candidate will be working in the telecom industry, using their skills to manage accounting functions related to grants.

Responsibilities

• Utilize accounting software systems such as Abila MIP and Concur to manage grant accounts.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with grant regulations.

• Participate in budget processes, taking into account the specific requirements of each grant.

• Handle accounting functions related to capital expenditure (CapEx).

• Review and manage expenditure related to grants, ensuring they are within the budget.

• Use Banner Ads and other tools to promote grant opportunities.

• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to grant accounting.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all grant accounts.

• Communicate with stakeholders regarding grant budgets and expenditure.

• Ensure all accounting activities adhere to established policies and regulations.

Requirements - Proficiency in using Abila MIP and other Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with Banner Ads and CapEx

• Experience in using Concur for expense reporting

• Strong understanding of general Accounting Functions

• Proven experience in Auditing

• Knowledge of Budget Processes and their implementation

• Ability to ensure Compliance with financial regulations

• Experience in managing and monitoring Expenditure

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
