    Job Description:

    The Project Manager, Strategic Talent Sourcer will serve as a critical component to executing Discover Financial Services' Talent Acquisition and Sourcing strategies by serving as an expert networker and talent market knowledge bank for the enterprise. Using internet based platforms and traditional sourcing techniques, the Project Manager, Strategic Talent Sourcer is responsible for building pipelines of pre-qualified talent for current and future positions throughout the enterprise. Utilizes internal and external networks and referral sources, industry publications, etc., to identify and attract top talent to Discover. Furthermore, this individual will represent Talent Acquisition to internal and external stakeholders, manage third parties and deliver solutions to fulfill recruitment and other talent projects. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

    What You'll Do

    • Execute Talent Acquisition and Sourcing strategies for Discover Financial Services by serving as an expert networker and talent market knowledge bank for the enterprise.

    • Build pipelines of pre-qualified talent for current and future positions throughout the enterprise, using internet-based platforms and traditional sourcing techniques.

    • Utilize internal and external networks and referral sources, industry publications, etc., to identify and attract top talent to Discover.

    • Represent Talent Acquisition to internal and external stakeholders, manage third parties, and deliver solutions to fulfill recruitment and other talent projects.

    • Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

    How You'll Do It

    • Deliver high-quality, pre-screened, active, and passive candidates. Work with recruiters to develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet overall recruiting goals and build talent pipelines based on Business Unit workforce planning.

    • Identify candidates using multiple techniques, including cold calling into competitors, online databases, social media websites, Boolean keyword searches, job boards, contact lists, networking, employee referrals, etc.

    • Evaluate candidates and make recommendations to hiring managers and other stakeholders.

    • Source passive candidates through extensive name-generation research, relationship building, complex internet searches, and existing talent pools.

    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing work, based on business needs and deadlines.

    • Collect, manage, and report on project and talent market data/metrics. Obtain talent market intelligence and provide ongoing feedback to recruiters based on market realities, accompanied by supporting data and metrics.

    • Maintain excellent understanding of a variety of sourcing tools and evaluate and manage timing and appropriate use of each. Research and adopt innovative tools and approaches to sourcing efforts.

    • Develop social networking contacts via groups, social media, association contacts, etc.

    • Create and deliver content to increase visibility of the Discover Employment Brand.

    • Map target organizations and build organizational charts based on research and discussions.

    Minimum Qualifications

    At a minimum, here's what we need from you:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration and Management.

    • 4+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition or Recruitment (agency or corporate). Demonstrated experience in core recruiting skills (job requirements gathering, planning, sourcing, selecting, cold calling, phone screening).

    • In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience as an executive recruiter or sources, full-cycle corporate recruiter.

    Compensation:

    The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127,900.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
