Financial Analyst

Illinois Tool Works (ITW) is a Fortune 200 diversified manufacturing company with seven decentralized business segments, which includes the Food Equipment Group. The Warewash Business Division, one of the businesses within the Food Equipment Group, is seeking a Financial Analyst for its Troy, Ohio facility, located 20 minutes north of Dayton.

The Warewash Division produces Hobart brand commercial dishwashers used in hotels, casinos, restaurants, health care, cruise ships, schools and universities, and retail. We are in search of a Financial Analyst to assist the Controller in maintaining accounting and financial records in accordance with GAAP and ITW Standards.

Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling complex financial analysis, maintaining financial statements/records, depreciation statements, and assisting in the preparation and management of capital appropriation requests.

Responsibilities for this position also include recording day-to-day journal entry transactions and recurring monthly entries, and preparation of monthly balance sheet account reconciliation. The role ensures compliance with all company and financial reporting policies and internal controls, conducts account analysis to understand fluctuations, timely reporting during month-end closing, and provides support to plants. The position also handles general accounting duties for cash, fixed assets, preparation of financial reports, and other assignments as appropriate within the scope of this role.

We seek candidates with proven problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. The successful candidate should also possess solid knowledge of journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, auditing functions and workflow to ensure that all accounting transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with industry standards. Effective communication skills and proficiency of spreadsheet and database applications are required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Accounting or Finance

• Attention to detail with accuracy is essential

• MS Office proficiency

• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP

• Process improvement and problem-solving skills
