  • A Day in the Life:

    The Financial Analyst role is known for driving overall analytical support within the Fleet Operations Finance group.

    The starting salary for this position is $70,000; commensurate with experience.

    What You'll Do:

    FORECASTING AND REPORTING

    • Develop long-term and short-term forecasts; develop complex models and scenarios to forecast performance

    • Identify business issues and opportunities by analyzing financial and non-financial data

    • Analyze, interpret and evaluate data by challenging inputs and performing reasonability assessments

    • Proactively identify key performance indicators that drive better decision making

    • Condense and synthesize vast financial data into a meaningful and actionable message

    • Develop and maintain monthly financial reporting package, containing key metrics by channel and by location. Utilize dashboards to identify opportunities for management to improve performance and achieve financial goals.

    • Benchmark current business performance to competitors

    • Anticipate future market or industry trends to drive business performance decisions

    • Plan and coordinate others in performing consolidation and closure activities

    FINANCIAL PLANNING AND BUDGETING

    • Prepare and interpret operational budgets, identify gaps and assesses consistency with the overall business strategy

    • Present, defend and negotiate business plans to management

    • Monitor financial information for trends, variances and unusual discrepancies and drive resolution of gaps by making informed recommendations to management

    • Challenge managers in the justification of financial proposals

    • Identify and evaluate risk associated with business performance and strategy

    PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS

    • Develop complex models and scenarios to forecast performance and identify issues and opportunities

    • Analyze financial and non-financial data

    DATA VISUALIZATION

    • Condense and synthesize vast financial data into meaningful and actionable message

    • Use dashboards and identify opportunities for management to improve performance and achieve financial goals

    • Communicate performance measurements via visualizations (tableau dashboard development) and statistical modeling

    BUSINESS CONTROLS

    • Plan and conduct financial/operational audits of retail locations. Verify compliance of activities with policies, regulations, and procedures

    • Reports audit findings to strategic business leaders, communicate the impact of identified audit risks and recommend corrective action

    BUSINESS PARTNERING

    • Seek and build alliances within the finance organization and across the business to ensure that finance is included as a vital strategic partner in the business decision making processes

    • Provide input as a key business partner for strategic business agenda development

    PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

    • Plan and conduct financial/operational audits of retail locations. Verify compliance of activities with policies, regulations, and procedures

    • Reports audit findings to strategic business leaders, communicate the impact of identified audit risks and recommend corrective action

    What We're Looking For:

    • Bachelor's level degree or equivalent required; preferably in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Mathematics.

    • 1-3+ years of experience in project-based analytical role preferred; will consider college grad within this space.

    • Proficient use of Excel, Access, and Hyperion Planning preferred

    • Process innovation and development; management via KPIs.

    • Excellent computer skills are essential (advanced Excel, Tableau; proficient Oracle, Hyperion Planning)

    • Data-mining and SQL/SAS capabilities preferred

    • Strong problem solving/analytical skills

    • Ability to effectively work with team members

    • Effective verbal/written communication skills

    • Strong work ethic and organization skills
