Financial Analyst

Description

As a Senior Financial Analyst your primary responsibilities will involve ensuring the precision and integrity of supplier contract calculations, encompassing all revenues and associated costs, thereby supporting our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analyses of supplier contracts to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and relevance.

• Perform comprehensive data modeling, identifying critical business drivers and providing actionable insights to business partners.

• Manage and interpret monthly and quarterly data regarding purchase volumes, sales volumes, costs, and pricing.

• Execute timely quarterly supplier contract reconciliations, ensuring completion within 45 days post-quarter.

• Analyze and highlight trends related to terminal, SG& A, truck, and railcar overhead costs, providing strategic recommendations.

• Investigate compliance with supplier contracts through diligent research.

• Address vendor and customer inquiries by conducting thorough research and providing solutions.

• Serve as a key point of contact for the Senior Vice President and Vice President of Sourcing, as well as for suppliers, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.

• Prepare accurate journal entries and account reconciliations for monthly and quarterly general ledger closures.

• Participate in special projects as directed by the Controller or CFO, contributing to the organization's financial and strategic goals.

• Collaborate with various business departments to address and resolve supplier, financial, and accounting issues.

• Lead change management initiatives for the implementation or enhancement of reporting solutions.

• Generate ad-hoc reports and analyses to support diverse business requirements.
