    Service Market Logistics (SML) is an organization within Volvo Group Truck Operations (GTO). Our responsibilities are to design, manage and optimize the supply chain of aftermarket parts for all Volvo Group brands. In North America we support Mack and Volvo Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Penta, and several Volvo Bus brands. The scope of SML includes transport of material to warehouses, inventory management, management of packaging, and dealer order fulfillment. We ensure that all logistics services are delivered with world class operational excellence utilizing LEAN tools.

    We operate the Central Distribution Center in Byhalia, MS as well as Regional Distribution Centers across the NA region. The Byhalia CDC is a 1.2 million square foot facility located approximately 25 miles southeast of Memphis, TN. We operate in two shifts, employing approximately 600 union employees.     CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work closely with various departments to increase cost awareness.

    • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of cost-benefit calculation

    • Provide financial guidance and support to operations.

    • Work with Automation and digitalization of data

    • Prepare and post monthly closing entries and perform other closing activities.

    • Administer and maintain financial controls and financial systems.

    • Participate in regional groups as necessary.

    • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

    Technical Competencies:

    • Technical Expertise: Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI and QlikView is highly desired. Some programming experience: Python preferred. Experience in SAP FI and Essbase is also an added advantage.

    • Analytical Skills: Recognizing patterns in data, information, or events, drawing logical conclusions, and making recommendations for action

    • Flexibility: Performing a wide range of tasks, responding to changes in direction and priorities, and accepting new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments

    Minimum Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree required. MBA, CMA, or CPA is desirable

    • Minimum 3 years related financial, manufacturing, or public accounting work experience

    • Proactive problem-solving and identification of improvement actions
