  • In this position...

    • Manage financials for the next generation electric vehicle platforms. Deliver end-to-end analysis on the Headcount Model, Vehicle Operations, Capital investment, and other unit costs.

    • Effectively support the financial forecast and analysis of headcount and operating budgets, including supporting the development and communication of expense forecasts to leadership and to internal finance business partners

    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners including program, product development engineering, facilities and manufacturing engineering to drive towards cost and profitability targets

    • Drive transparent financial reporting, cost status reporting and ongoing optimization of finance & engineering processes.

    • Approve spend based on targets that have been agreed upon with key stakeholders, driving team towards cost effectiveness

    • Execute on ad hoc analyses to support leadership decision making process; transform data into actionable insights and recommendations

    • Evaluate current processes and tools to drive efficiencies and value-added enhancements

    • Take on complex challenges while clearly articulating the problem statement and recommendations to senior-level stakeholders.

    • Identify and take initiative in delivering continuous improvement across all facets of the job.

    • Deploy best-in-class data visualization tools and continuous availability of information vs. static reporting.

    • Define, initiate and lead key technical and business initiatives to ensure project success.

    • Bring a first principles mindset and approach to solve ambiguous challenges.

    • Bring an ownership mentality - no problem is above your involvement. Be willing to get your hands dirty and tackle problems head on

    You'll have...

    • Bachelor's degree (MBA/CPA a plus) in Finance, Business, Economics or related field preferred

    • 2-3 years of work experience planning and forecasting experience

    • Proven ability to develop effective business partner relationships

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to interact with various management levels

    • General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles and theories

    • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing and fast paced environment

    • Proven experience budgeting, planning, forecasting, closing and reconciling operating expenditures

    • Strong organizational skills reflecting prioritization with a sense of urgency

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill with the ability to process data from multiple sources and build models from the ground up

    • Ability to effectively articulate financial stories in a clear and concise manner

    • Proven ability developing and improving processes to make reporting better, faster and easier

    • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
