  • As the Finance Planning and Control specialist, you will support financial analysis, planning and forecasting in support of the next generation of space vehicles. Working closely with program management, scheduling, and other functional partners, you will be a key contributor in helping to deliver the program within budget and on schedule.

    What You'll Do:

    • Manage program financials, including the development of time-phased integrated budgets and schedules, and ongoing management of cost and schedule integration.

    • Develop and present briefings of program financial status to program and finance leadership.

    • Development of quarterly EACs; analysis/assist in accurate projection of Estimate to Complete (ETC), Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) data.

    • Monitoring costs, ensuring that actuals are within budget and charged to the correct cost objectives.

    • Generate program financial artifacts such as Earned Value performance reports, graphs, and analysis, as required.

    • Assist in manpower planning, forecasting and reporting activities across functions to support program resourcing needs.

    • Support supply-chain management in financial controls of subcontracts and material procurement forecasting. Review and advise on all vendor procurements, including terms and governance.

    • Support the broader finance organization with budget planning and forecasting of both expense and cash flow.

    • Perform labor and cost transfer submittals, as necessary.

    • Perform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and validations related to program financials.

    • Provide other program support activities, as required.

    What You'll Need:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance and at least 4 years of financial analysis, cost / schedule management, and / or accounting experience, preferably in an Aerospace company.

    • Earned value management experience a plus, but not required

    • Must be local to the Virgin Galactic Tustin, CA office and able to work in the office at least 3 days per week.

    • Strong communication skills including the ability to work in a team environment.

    • Commitment to integrity and ethics.

    • Strong Excel skills with an ability to design and maintain complex financial models and to create high quality financial presentations. Proficiency in the balance of the MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

    • Demonstrated analytical proficiency in data research and interpretation.

    • Illustrates a dedication to meeting requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughly.

    The annual U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $79,300.00-$121,000.00. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity. Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
