    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Estimator to be based in New York, NY.

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Confer with a broad range of technical, professional, and managerial personnel as well as designers, consultants, and contractors to coordinate and establish a detailed cost estimate.

    • Prepare and/or ensure the preparation of detailed cost estimates for all phases of design and/or construction.

    • Supervise the development of quantity surveys and cost evaluations relating to design documents, contract drawings, specifications, or contract changes.

    • Review and report on contract estimates prepared by private consultants; recommend if an estimate is appropriate for implementation.

    • Participate in cost negotiations.

    • Plan, assign and review the cost-estimating work of other AECOM or Consultant estimators.

    • Review staging and logistical drawings for new projects. Compare drawings to Estimate.

    • Prepare Construction Schedules utilizing Primavera P6 Scheduling Software.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field plus 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Excellence in calculating prime time, labor escalation, and unstandardized coefficient.

    • Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in architecture, construction management, engineering, environmental services, or related coursework. 5 years of experience as an estimator.

    • Experience in the New York and New Jersey marketplace is preferred.

    Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $99,840.00 - $108,160.00.
