    Description:

    Mercy Care is seeking a Director of Finance to join our team, comprised of 300 plus colleagues. Mercy Care Atlanta is a healthcare organization that provides a range of health services to underserved and vulnerable populations in the Atlanta, Georgia area. This position is primarily responsible for the financial management services of Saint Joseph's Mercy Care Services and Mercy Senior Care . Provides oversight of budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, grants receivable, patient accounts receivables , purchasing , and all financial reporting functions .

    Position Summary:

    • Manage financial management services for Saint Joseph's Mercy Care Services and Mercy Senior Care.

    • Oversee budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, grants receivable, and financial reporting functions.

    • Coordinate credentialing of Mercy Care providers with government and non-government payers.

    • Develop and implement financial counseling programs at fixed-site clinics.

    • Manage the Materials department, including purchasing, inventory control, and emergency preparedness.

    • Coordinate external audit engagements and ensure compliance with hospital and department policies.

    • Serve as a member of the SJMCS Management Team and assist in policy development related to financial matters.

    Experience Requirements:

    • A minimum of three (3) years progressive management experience with at least seven (7) years in the field.

    • Background in Healthcare/Non-profit industry.

    • Working knowledge of grant accounting systems and Federal A-133 audit requirements.

    • Familiarity with payroll, accounts payable, billing and collections systems, reimbursement systems, and contract administration.

    • Conflict resolution and data analysis skills.

    • Experience in employee supervision, training, and evaluation.

    Education Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Administration with accounting emphasis required, MBA preferred.

    • An Active CPA license is required or are planning to sit for your CPA exam within 6 months.
