    We are looking for a talented Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team specializing in Finance for our Cummins-Meritor in Troy, MI.

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Lead the consolidated financial reporting of the organization including evaluation of actual results, preparation of quarterly forecast, defining and monitoring vulnerabilities and opportunities, strategic simulation, and annual operating plan.

    • This role will also lead the functional, regional and product gross margin reporting and support various ad hoc request for the Cummins Meritor leaders and Components PFR teams.

    • Serve as direct finance support for corporate functions (HR, IT, and others) and work closely with the other Cummins Meritor finance functional leaders.

    • Provide finance leadership for the Integrated Business Planning process including serving as the Integration Optimization (IO) leader and preparing our long-term financial forecast. This process will be closely connected with our organization strategic objectives including growth and cost reduction.

    • Providing key leadership for Cummins Meritor's integration into Cummins including structure design, financial systems integration, cost optimization and financial reporting.

    • Responsible for leading forecasting, analyzing, and evaluating financial plans and budgets for the assigned business unit or corporation.

    • Directs forecasting and budgeting activities for the assigned business unit or corporation.

    • Leads the Annual Operating Plan and Simulation processes for the business unit/line of business organization.

    • Directs the analysis, interpretation and evaluation of financial plans and presents to leadership.

    • Directs a team of Financial Planning and Analysis Managers and Analysts.

    • Coaches and mentors; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to financial planning and analysis employees within the organization.

    Qualifications

    Financial Reporting - Analyzes financial data by evaluating results and solutions to support business decisions; prepares and presents financial information by summarizing data to communicate results in compliance with regulations and stakeholder expectations; partners with stakeholders to drive financial performance that aligns to organizational goals and strategies.

    Business Partnering - Collaborates with stakeholders and develops partnerships to drive performance that aligns to organizational goals and strategies; influences the organization by demonstrating knowledge of the business to provide guidance to support the decision making process and guiding the business towards positive results and organizational alignment; evaluates business environment using measures to mitigate risk and capitalize on opportunities.

    Financial Planning and Forecasting - Utilizes financial forecast data to provide forward looking projections to facilitate decision making; partners with stakeholders to analyze trends and validate assumptions to provide a forecast that aligns to the organization's goals and strategies.

    Financial Analysis - Interprets financial data by analyzing trends, variances, opportunities and risks to provide insight to stakeholders regarding financial impact to drive business improvement; evaluates financial results against targets to communicate conclusions to all stakeholders; ensures integrity of financial data by investigating variances and determining corrective actions to resolve identified issues.

    Develops talent - Developing people to meet both their career goals and the organization's goals.

    Business insight - Applying knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals.

    Education/Experience

    College, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.

    Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant, or similar certification is required.

    • Significant experience required, including managerial and budgetary experience.

    • This role will serve as the Financial Planning and Analysis leader for Cummins Meritor and be responsible for the organization's consolidated financial reporting and forecasting.

    • This individual will work closely with the Cummins Meritor leadership team, Cummins Meritor finance leadership team and Components finance leadership.

    Compensation and Benefits

    Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.

    Base salary range: $130,500 - $217,500

    Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
