    We are seeking an experienced Data Quality Manager to lead our efforts in establishing Data Quality Management across US Therapeutic Operations . In this critical role within our Data Governance team, you will work closely with functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to implement capabilities and processes that enhance data quality management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing a comprehensive data quality strategy and framework across all data domains within the organization. As the Data Quality Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procedures to identify, monitor, and resolve data quality issues across the data ecosystem. You will be expected to ensure consistent review and resolution of data quality issues, as well as provide guidance and expertise to the wider team on best practices for data quality management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develops and implements a comprehensive Data Quality Management strategy and framework for US Commercial and Patient Services, ensuring alignment with AbbVie's data ecosystem.

    • Collaborates with system owners, IT, and functional SMEs to ensure effective data management throughout the organization.

    • Develops the scoring process for Critical Data Elements (CDEs), evaluates data profiling results and establishes Data quality dimensions to ensure high-quality data.

    • Develops and manages a process for reviewing, tracking, resolving, and escalating identified data quality issues across data domains, ensuring consistent review and resolution.

    • Provides guidance and training to business data stewards on implementing the data quality framework on their data domain, empowering them to drive data quality improvements.

    • Partners with stakeholders across the organization to measure data quality KPIs and recommend optimizations to improve data quality performance, ensuring data quality meets business needs and objectives.

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.

    • 7+ years of experience with data management and governance tools, such as Alation, Collibra, or Informatica, and Master Data Management Tools like Reltio.

    • Experience in authoring data quality standards and ensuring adherence by business leads and users.

    • Proficiency in data engineering tools and languages like Python, SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, Spark SQL) is expected.

    • Familiarity with Power BI or other data analytics and visualization tools is preferred.

    • Experience in software development environments using Agile/SCRUM and code management/versioning is required.

    • Prior experience in the Pharma industry is preferred.

    • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices is necessary.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.

    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required.

    • The ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment is important.

    • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements related to data governance is expected.
