  • Overview

    The opportunity for the Cost Accounting Manager will no have direct reports, but will be managing the accounting process and procedures of two business units. The role will report to the Director of Accounting/Business Unit CFO and collaborate with the other Sr. Cost Accounting Manager, AP/AR, and Warehouse Managers. WIth the organization Aston Carter is partnering with has demonstrated sustainable business model and seeking candidates that can see themselves at an organization long-term. This opportunity is slated to make a hiring decision before April 1st.

    Description

    • Booking Journal Entries and working General Ledger

    • Reporting of inventory of raw materials

    • Cost Accounting Analysis (job, material, cost of goods sold)

    • Cost of good sold for Profit and Loss on Balance Sheet

    • Job Labor Costing

    • Accruals and valuation of inventory

    • Month-End Close Reporting

    • Partner with Warehouse Manager and Plant Manager for inventory control

    Allocation of Time

    • Month-End Close and Cost Reporting 40%

    • Invoicing Review and Reporting 30%

    • Daily Production Review 10-15%

    • Misc. Assistance 15% (includes reviewing contract, answering questions for local gov't, admin tasks)

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    1. 7+ years in Manufacturing Industry

    2. Cost Accounting (Labor, Inventory, and Raw Material)

    3. Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance

    4. Great Plains or SAGE ERP software

    5. Intermediate Excel Skills
