Controller

Description

Reporting to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will lead accounting, accounting services and financial reporting. The Corporate Controller, in conjunction with the CFO, will design and build a professional accounting function that supports the anticipated growth of the business. The successful candidate will drive consolidation of activities between the two businesses and adoption of best practices. The candidate will have an "information is power" mentality and drive to deliver financial information with speed, accuracy, consistency & automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, accounting services (AR, credit, collections and AP) and financial reporting within the EMS/Azer business.

• Deliver consolidated financial reporting requirements to the leadership team, board of directors, lenders and investors.

• Play a key role and support the financial reporting aspects of business planning (budget and forecasting processes)

• Ensure adequate internal financial controls are in place and operating effectively

• Primary point of contact with our external audit partner

• Primary point of contact with our external tax compliance and tax preparation partner

• Ad hoc support to the CFO and the leadership team on key strategic and tactical initiatives

• Travel to both business locations as needed

Requirements

10 plus years relevant experience in accounting/finance in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment (experience in a Private Equity environment is preferred, but not required)

• 2 plus years "Big 4" public accounting experience

• Experience preparing consolidated financial statements (P& L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) in a multi-business, multi-site environment

• Experience utilizing an end-to-end ERP system (SOP, POP, MOP and general ledger)

• Strong technical accounting skills and understanding of GAAP

• Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit & collections

Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or business. CPA and/or MBA preferred
