SUMMARY
Support contracting personnel in full spectrum of contracting assignments.
This position will spend a substantial amount of time drafting documents which may range from subcontracts, modifications, close outs etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides support for assignments in the functional areas of contracting such as:
contract and purchase order close outs and reconciliations
drafting purchase orders
procurement data analysis support and technical report writing
compiling and drafting government and commercial contracts using company templates and tailoring terms and conditions as needed for the situation
a. teaming agreements
b. non-disclosure agreements
c. prime contract award processes
purchasing support to include reviewing subcontractor quotes and preparing official correspondence
This position utilizes problem solving skills to complete multi-faceted contracting assignments.
This position shall often have to interface with HR, Finance, Security, and Operations to gather the proper information to complete contracting assignments.
Support government contracting personnel in preparing for contract negotiations.
Prepares subcontracts and supporting documentation in accordance with applicable regulations.
Writes amendments to contracts to improve on service or change policy procedures that meet the needs of the customer and the company.
Ensures maintenance of accurate, thorough contract records and helps to facilitate efficient interdepartmental communications related to assigned areas.
An important component to this position is the understanding and use of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and requirements of clause flow-downs from prime contract to subcontracts.
Key component of this position is to facilitate and ensure completion of the frequent updating of the Contracts Department multiple data capture and tracking documents.
This position shall often interface with the Contracts Administrator and Writers I, II, III and IV to assist with questions, verify accuracy of composed documents by others, and ensure consistency of procedures and policies.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel is required during the business day, out-of-area, and overnight travel to be expected.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Attention to detail, proofreading and extensive writing tasks will be required.
Analytical mindset, to include refined problem-solving abilities necessary.
Excellent communication skills (oral, presentation, and written).
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows/Office.
Maintains a valid Driver's License and be insurable under company insurance provider/program.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Legal studies, Business, or equivalent is required.
J.D. or MBA degree is a plus.
Experience reading and interpreting complex regulations and contracts.
Experience working in a team environment.
Ability to work independently productively and effectively on assigned tasks as required.

Maintain a valid Driver's License and be insurable under the company insurance provider/program.
