Meetings and Events Commission Collection Supervisor
This position is with Global Supplier Partnerships Finance Operations (GSP). GSP, gathers, manages, analyzes, and distributes data on American Express Global Business Travel Meetings and Events (M&E) suppliers. As the M&E Global Supplier Billing Supervisor, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate extraction of CVENT data, preparation required projects, invoice creation/distribution and collection of event related commissions. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of reporting activities including weekly, monthly and quarterly collection and cash reporting, interim and annual audit preparation, and Ad-hoc tasks as requested by management. This position plays a key role as liaison between American Express Global Supplier Relations, M&E, Finance, and external event suppliers.
Roles & Responsibilities
Supervision of assigned team members including goal setting, team building, and performance management Ensure team meets all deadlines as established by management
Training and professional development of subordinate analysts
Build and maintain strong relationships with key business and finance partners
Work with team members on collection efforts identifying challenges and working to remove obstacles
Ensure accurate and timely invoice issuance and application of cash payments
Control point monitoring
Assist in development and maintenance of process performance metrics
M&E Contract interpretation and analysis
Assist management in the preparation of interim and annual audit requirements
Provide scheduled deliverables in a timely manner and Ad-hoc reporting as requested
Participate in monthly dunning/collection calls with M&E leadership
Bachelor's degree in business or related field
Prior collection experience required
Minimum five years of supervisory experience required
Knowledge of NetSuite helpful
Ability to assist with automation related to making M&E process more time effective
Effective written and verbal Communication skills
Ability to remain professional when faced with adversity
Effectively use behavior modification to motivate and achieve results
Provide positive reinforcements to achieve results
Demonstrates a high level of technical competence
Overtime and weekend hours may be required to meet deadlines
United States - Arizona - Phoenix
The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $50,000 to $100,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
