    QTS Data Centers, a Blackstone company, is seeking a Capital Strategy Analyst (Data Center) to work from our Ashburn, VA or Duluth, GA campus. Quality Technology Services (QTS) is a leading provider of data center solutions across a diverse footprint spanning more than 7 million square feet of QTS Mega Data Centers throughout North America and Europe.

    The Capital Strategy Analyst is responsible for the strategy, analysis, and communication of critical development project capital for active and future operations. They are responsible for assisting the Construction Capital team in maintaining full visibility into capital expenditure across the company construction portfolio, as well as promoting improvements on reporting processes and project metrics.

    RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.

    • Manage cash flow details for active and future projects on a monthly level, comparing at regular intervals to forecasted annual projections.

    • Collaborate with Development, Finance, Accounting, and Procurement teams on strategic capital initiatives including asset management and predictive construction modeling.

    • Support new development capital project requests and approvals in monthly committee meetings with senior executive team.

    • Assist with maintenance and creation of new stabilized cost projections for upcoming greenfield construction and incremental site builds.

    • Utilize custom reporting features in Tableau to generate advanced views on project budgets, invoice tracking, and other key metrics.

    • Develop new processes and documentation to continually improve the organization's approach to capital project management.

    • Maintain a high level of knowledge about QTS services, systems, methods of delivery, implementation and support processes, and Service Level Agreements as well as apply industry-leading practices to improve overall business performance.

    • Travel up to 10% as required

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in business management (commerce), economics, mathematics, accounting, or finance OR any bachelor's degree with demonstrated coursework in/understanding of business concepts and strategic thinking

    • Two or more years of construction management exposure

    • Demonstrated history of critical thinking and problem solving.

    • Experience in data analysis utilizing Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, basic reporting capabilities).

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in Tableau, Power BI, or data visualization

    • Prior experience in finance, accounting, or business environment.

    • Continued involvement in community outside of work (athletics, clubs, volunteering, part-time employment, other community involvement.)

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • Superior people skills - able to work effectively with multiple business groups including project managers, vendors, network engineering, and with all levels of the organization from senior executives to support staff

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Ability to independently manage deadlines

    • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high growth company
