    The role.

    Innomotics is seeking a Buyer to join their team at their facility in New Kensington, PA. The position will work closely with Strategic Procurement, Project Management, Manufacturing and Engineering to plan orders and purchase material/components based on customer/project needs. This role will focus on meeting assigned delivery reliability targets while achieving efficient inventory levels and turnover targets, as well as track, supervise and expedite part shortages. This position reports to the Purchasing Manager.

    Responsibilities :

    Responsible for the purchasing activity for assigned inventory components to support both intercompany and 3rd party manufacturing. The individual will obtain pricing from approved supply base, issue purchase orders, and resolve supply issues to meet customer demand. The successful candidate will also resolve invoicing issues, settle source models, planning levels, inventory accuracy and accurately maintain material master and information records in SAP.

    • Implements commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials.

    • Contributes to implementation and ensures usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines).

    • Ensures adherence to supplier commitments such as on-time delivery and negotiated pricing.

    • Prepares and supports negotiations to acquire the highest feasible savings.

    • Generates, documents and implements savings to contribute to the success of the business and make results visible.

    • Participates in Supplier onboarding and management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification).

    • Ability to establish and maintain supplier relationships and recognize the importance of strong supplier relationship management

    • Closely collaborates with internal customers to ensure cross-functional care and early involvement for project execution, maintenance and problem-solving.

    • Provides supplier information to internal business partners

    • Support planning and coordination of new product introduction or product changes

    • Understands and implements to the principles of excellent data stewardship by ensuring all relevant SAP fields reflect timely and accurate information (e.g. PO due dates are accurate, stocking levels are adapted to support business needs, consistent review and action from MRP messaging).

    Your profile.

    Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

    Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately sophisticated assignments. Applies moderately sophisticated knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of area of specialization. Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.

    • BS/BA in related field, or advanced degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Minimum 10 years' experience or equivalent education in related field (i.e. Supply Chain)

    • Ability to own the efficient procurement of special and custom design components

    • Lean process focus

    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

    • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills (written, oral and presentation) to optimally communicate with external suppliers, internal customers and teammates.

    • A teammate that can take the lead and guide peer departments and functions

    Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

    • BS in Supply Chain Management Preferred

    • Supply Chain industry certifications are desirable (ASCM, ISM, CSCMP, Six Sigma)

    • 10+ years' experience in related field

    • Proficient in SAP

    The pay range for this position is $77,800 - $133,400. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
