Responsibilities

• Learn and support researching and writing proposal sections and other materials geared toward obtaining new business and retaining existing business

• Analyze customer requirements as relayed through requests for proposals (RFPs) to help guide proposal content

• Assist with editing and proposal quality check/compliance tasks

• Shadow writers, editors and compliance to gain understanding of these functions

• Learn department performance standards and ensure all work adheres to these standards

• Able to work effectively and cooperatively with all members of the team

Qualifications

• Clear written and verbal communication skills

• Understanding of basic rules of grammar and writing styles, as well as some writing background, experience or classwork

• Willingness to ask questions

• Remains calm under pressure and can work on a deadline

• Ability to manage time and manage conflicting priorities or job requests

• Efficient multi-task with proficient organizational and time management skills

• Must be self-motivated with an attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0

• Ability to work full-time during the summer (37.5 hours a week)
