About the position

We are seeking a Business Analyst with a keen eye for detail and a strong aptitude for data analysis and interpretation. In this role, you will play a crucial part in monitoring and interpreting key performance indicators (KPIs) across four main areas: Field Operations, Field Service, Sales, and Business Operations. Your primary responsibility will be to transform business and financial data sets into clear, actionable insights, thereby guiding strategic decisions and improving operational performance. The ideal candidate will be adept at creating and maintaining comprehensive KPI dashboards and scorecards, which will serve as essential tools for evaluating effectiveness and aligning with business objectives. With your advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and SQL, along with a talent for crafting compelling executive summaries, you will be instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making and identifying opportunities for growth and enhancement in our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze, track, and report on key operating KPIs across field operations, field service, sales, and business operations.

• Review and work through large data sets to extract meaningful insights and create a comprehensive understanding of what the data presents.

• Responsible for maintaining and updating a standard KPI dashboard and scorecard for each of the four areas, ensuring accurate and up-to-date reporting.

Dashboard and Scorecard Development and Maintenance:

• Develop and maintain standard KPI dashboards and scorecards with inputs from key stakeholders.

• Utilize these tools to evaluate operational effectiveness and performance against key business objectives and targets.

• Ensure that dashboards and scorecards are user-friendly, visually appealing, and provide actionable insights.

Data Processing and Visualization:

• Utilize advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and SQL for data processing and visualization.

• Create intuitive and informative visual representations of complex data sets to aid in understanding and decision-making.

Executive Summaries and Presentations:

• Prepare and present executive summaries and presentations, providing a regular cadence of updates on scorecard results.

• Highlight key performers as well as areas requiring attention and improvement.

• Present findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders and executive teams.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.

• 3+ years experience in business analytics and data analysis.

• 3+ years experience in creating and managing KPI dashboards and scorecards.

• 3+ years experience using advanced features of Excel, SQL queries for data manipulation, analysis and data visualization tools (such as Power BI, or Tableau, or similar data visualization tools) at a proficient level.

Preferred Qualifications (assets):

• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (nice to have).

• A portfolio that demonstrates advanced skills in data analysis and visualization, with experience in utilizing Microsoft Power BI or similar tools.

• Proficiency in Python, specifically for data analysis and automation of reporting processes.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data in an understandable format.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
