Job Description:

The Benefits Manager is responsible for administration and regulatory compliance for various employee benefit plans.

This position is primarily remote, but with the expectation to come onsite if needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Associate Degree or two years post H.S. education in benefits administration or human resources.

Preferred/Optional: Bachelor's degree in business or Human Resources.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: Minimum of five years working with employer-sponsored benefit plans in required. Knowledge of federal and state laws governing employer benefit plans. HRIS experience.

Preferred/Optional: Experience in benefit plan design and negotiations with vendors and consultants preferred. Experience with Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Intermediate/advanced Excel skills. Experience with HRIS; preferably Workday.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP).
