Assistant Purchasing Agent

Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Purchasing Agent to join our team immediately. The client is a home-builder in the DC Metro Area. This is a junior level role. Responsibilities as follows:

• Creating material quantity take-offs for new lots that have been sold for new home construction

• Area figures - lot specific quantities written out and broken down for pre-purchase order creation

• Managing Trade Partner database and relationships/bid processes

• Maintain cost database, updating descriptions, creating new items, entering pricing, and price revisions.

Skills and Requirements

1-3 years of experience in construction estimating - ideally in residential field

Experience looking over sets of plans - knowledge of how a home is built

Experience with creating take-offs CAD experience

Bachelor's degree null
