Assistant Controller

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Assistant Controller in a growing Manufacturing company. As an Assistant Controller, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including month-end close, financial reporting, and accounts payable reporting. You will also need experience with NetSuite - required. This position will have an onsite schedule in Somerset, NJ with some remote work flexibility. Please apply immediately to be considered!

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end closing procedures and ensure they are completed accurately and within the set timeline

• Prepare and present financial reports that provide an overview of the company's financial position

• Manage accounts payable reporting processes to ensure all payments are made on time and records are kept up to date

• Use NetSuite for various accounting operations, demonstrating a strong understanding of the system's functions

• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness

• Collaborate with other finance team members to perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking

• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support

Requirements

• Proficiency in NetSuite is essential for managing financial operations.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures is required to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
