  • Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in Charlotte, North Carolina for an Anti-Money Laundering Analyst. This role is within the Paralegal function and requires an individual with strong analytical skills and experience in fraud detection, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), or Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups, is a significant part of the role.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct thorough analysis and investigations to identify potential money laundering activities.

    • Utilize fraud detection tools and techniques as part of daily operations.

    • Apply KYC and AML protocols to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

    • Leverage Microsoft Excel for data analysis, utilizing functions such as pivot tables and vlookups.

    • Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in fraud detection and AML practices.

    • Manage and resolve customer inquiries related to AML and fraud detection in a timely manner.

    • Continually update and maintain accurate records of all investigations and outcomes.

    • Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the field of AML and fraud detection.

    • Participate in regular training and development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.

    • Collaborate with regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies as needed. Requirements - Must have a relevant degree or certification, preferably in Law or Legal Studies.

    • Knowledge and experience with AML (Anti Money Laundering) operations is required.

    • Proficient in KYC (Know Your Customer) AML procedures.

    • Prior experience in Fraud Investigation is desired.

    • Familiarity with Anti-Fraud techniques and practices.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with Excel Formulas.

    • Strong research and report writing skills.

    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

    • Excellent time management skills, able to prioritize and meet deadlines.

    • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • Must have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality work.

    • Demonstrable initiative and proactivity in previous roles.

    • Understanding and adherence to ethical standards of the profession.
