    Koniag Government Services is seeking an Acquisition Support Specialist to join our team in Washington, DC.

    Serve as Acquisition Support Specialist to assist ACF OSHEPR in conducting contracting activities.

    The Office of Human Services Emergency Preparedness and Response (OHSEPR) is the Emergency Management Lead for the ACF within the DHHS.OHSEPR ensures the effectiveness of human services in preparedness, response, and recovery from disasters and public health emergencies OHSEPR leads ACF's support for disaster human services missions conducted under the National Response Framework's Emergency Support Function 6.OHSEPR administers the U.S. Repatriation Program and leads domestic non-emergency and emergency repatriation planning and operations to support the return of U.S. citizens and their dependents following an evacuation from overseas nations due to war, threat of war, invasion, civil unrest, or similar crises.

    Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

    • Meet with program managers to define acquisition program requirements.

    • Conduct market research and provide recommendations on procurement strategy.

    • Assist with the development of acquisition documentation, including cost estimates, quality assurance surveillance plans, SOW's, RFPs, RFIs, AP, AS, FITARA reviews, synopses, solicitations, etc.

    • Provide expert assistance in reviewing and grading technical proposal evaluations.

    • Assist ACF COR with reviewing contractor performance, including reviewing documentation, deliverables, and invoices.

    • Assist contracting office with drafting contract modification, IGCE's, cost estimates, and other acquisition documents.

    • Investigate reports of contract discrepancies and report findings to federal contract officials.

    • Maintain detailed log/list of procurement activities, action, next steps and responses.

    Education:

    • A bachelor's degree in a business-related field and a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience.

    Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong background in acquiring commercial supplies and/or services for the Federal Government.

    • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. (Job entails supporting multiple purchasing actions in a fast-paced environment.).

    • Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision.

    • The position will require interaction with procurement office management. Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively are necessary.

    • Experience as an 1102 in the Federal Government is highly desirable .

    • Position requires positive adjudication of background check.

    Office Location and Travel:

    This position shall be required to support the OHSEPR program on site at minimum 2 day a week. Current OHSEPR on-site status for all federal and non-federal employees is either Tuesday and Wednesday or Wednesday and Thursday.

    Working Environment & Conditions

    This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

    The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
