    Position Summary

    Accounting Manager

    2+ month contract (with high probability of extension)

    Must be able to be onsite 5 days/week in Wilkes-Barre, PA

    My client, a family-owned business around the Wilkes-Barre, PA area is looking for a strong accounting consultant (Accounting Manager level an up) to come in and assist with major finance functions with a team of 5 for a short term contract (but high chance of being extended further). They are in the business of fuel distribution and delivery to convenient stores/gas stations. The organization focuses on working capital by buying millions of gallons of fuel every day and the success of the organization all depends on how operations function. An Accounting Manager level candidate is critical in coming in to assist and provide a high level of support and leadership.

    Responsibilities

    • Run month-end close, both as a working manager and supervise staff of approximately 2

    • Booking journal entries, accruals, cut-off

    • Reconciliations/roll forwards/account analysis/Intercompany

    • Inventory

    • Handle bank compliance (monthly borrowing base)

    • Deal with capital management

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

    • 5-7 years experience minimum in overall accounting

    • CPA preferred but not required

    • Experience with Sage Intaact

    • Excellent written and verbal communication

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities

    • Knowledge of all social networking platforms

    Salary range $45-$52/hr W2. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
