AOL Pays $315 Million for HuffPost

But wait, there's more.

As part of the deal, Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington will also become editor of all of AOL's "content properties" -- that's right, technophiles, she's now the grand overseer of some of the most popular tech sites online: TechCrunch and Engadget to name a couple.

Apparently AOL's CEO Tim Armstrong made the offer to Huffington in November of last year and -- collective 'duh' here folks -- she took him up on it.

Also part of the deal is the departure of Huffington Post's CEO Eric Hippeau and Chief Revenue Officer Greg Coleman. Sorry guys, they're moving on and up without you.

Alright HuffPo readers -- how do you feel about this? I, for one, think that I'm more worried about AOL's affect on HuffPo's content than I am about Arianna's influence on TechCrunch and Engadget. I'm a regular HuffPo reader and am not looking forward to the inevitable terrible AOL ad invasion.
