Whole Loan Asset Manager Requisition ID 2437 Full/Part Time Full Time Location Irving, TX Description Avelo Mortgage is a wholly owned subsidiary of a large Wall Street Investment Firm. We provide support for loan acquisition, due diligence, asset management, and loan disposition.
Job Description: The candidate will be responsible for working with Senior Management to understand Investor's strategies, financial goals and objectives for a Portfolio of Whole Loans Work. Develop and implement the tactical plan necessary to accomplish the goals of Senior Management and the Investor, while overseeing and managing the results of the assigned portfolio. Make recommendations as to new strategies to maximize results for consideration by Senior Management. Provide feedback to Senior Management and Investor(s) regarding performance of assigned portfolio, asset performance and market performance as requested.
Primary Responsibilities: Management . Manage a team of eight to ten dedicated ownership collectors to maximize results on assigned portfolio through tactical implementation of strategies. . Manage timelines associated with each individual asset to maximize performance. . Prepare policies, procedures, controls, and inspection of whole loan resources to accomplish stated objectives. . Ensure compliance of servicing practices with company policies, all applicable laws, ordinances and governmental regulatory standards.
Reporting and Analytics . Work with operational and project managers to understand the resource needs of each project/campaign (skills, expertise, and timing) and coordinate implementation. . Work with analyst team to create and prioritize operational reports pertinent to maximizing operational performance and measurement of results. . Analyze portfolio performance through financial models and forecasting to determine desired future collections/operational strategies. . Analyze detailed reporting around company objectives and performance.
Communication . Communicate performance on assigned portfolio to Senior Management and Investor(s) as requested.

Essential Skills: . Minimum two years of analytical experience, preferably in a mortgage environment. . Have actively participated in residential loss mitigation for (loan collections, settlements, modifications, refinancing and short sales) for 5 years with a minimum of 2 years in a management role or comparable mortgage company experience and/or commercial mortgage experience. . Have hired, trained and supervised a minimum of 5 employees at one time . Understanding of IRR and NPV is required.
Required Skills: Education College or advanced degree strongly preferred. Exceptions may be considered for candidates having extensive Loss Mitigation experience in a management role and/or Mortgage experience in a management role. Degree BS/BA
