Overview:
The Design Manager is responsible for solving both retail and marketing challenges through fresh creative ideas that supports the brand direction and generating a top-of-mind perspective with the consumer.
Key Accountabilities:
Reports to Design Director
Work closely with merchandising/marketing peers and stay current with market trends to understand both the internal business strategy as well as external competitive landscape.
Translate said knowledge into a creative strategy that furthers company objectives.
Leads a team of designers and takes an active role in leading conceptualization sessions with team members, while also offering art direction.
Skills Summary:
B.A/B.F.A in Graphic Design, Art or other related field or comparable work experience.
5-7 years experience in graphic design/art direction.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Thorough attention to detail
The ability to meet very tight deadlines.
Proficiency in PhotoShop and Illustrator on the Macintosh platform. Knowledge of InDesign and Flash a plus Excellent communication & organizational skills, thorough attention to detail.
Must be an assertive designer who can not only tackle assigned challenges but can also identify new opportunities for business.
Bridal experience a plus.
Must have online portfolio.
