Job Description
Main Accountabilities (not all-inclusive):
Relationship Management - develop and maintain the relationship(s) between the firm and it's clients, banks and auditors ensuring professional communication, responsiveness, and attention to detail are the standards for the client service team
Internal Controls - develop and ensure adequate internal controls exist and are enforced for transfer agency processes (including, subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, statement production and mailing, etc.)
Review Process - responsible for reviewing the work of staff and for ensuring that all relevant policies, procedures and controls are adhered to on a daily/monthly basis for all processes (subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, compliance, performance information (statements), mailings, etc.)
Investor Statement Preparation & Review - understand all aspects of the statement process, including calculations, client specific and regulatory reporting requirements
Document Review & Client (Fund) Initialization - For new clients (funds), review all fund documents; review and approve the ISSTM set up checklist prepared and ensure the fund is established accurately on the ISSTM system
Staff Management - interview and hire qualified employees; ensure adequate team structure is in place; establish team and individual goals; conduct goal setting and performance review sessions
Participation in strategic development - continually work with senior management to develop a strategic plan for the organization, and specifically the transfer agency capability
Required Skills
6+ years of Hedge Fund Client Service experience
Strong experience managing people
Superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication
