Maintains a system of internal accounting controls which comply with the accounting policies and procedures established by Meggitt PLC. Provide regularly required financial analysis and support to Securaplane Management and Meggitt PLC. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Monitor daily finance & accounting activities * Liaison with Meggitt PLC on all financial matters * Assist with annual tax return preparation * Issue monthly financial statements, including financial analysis * Prepare annual strategic financial plan * Prepare annual operating budget financial plan * Update and review financial policy deployment monthly * Assist Operations with inventory control * Ad hoc financial analysis as required RELATIONSHIPS: * Direct reports include: Controller * Indirect relationships include: Accounts Payable Coordinator, Accounts Receivable Coordinator, and Senior Accountants. * Close working relationship with all Securaplane Leadership Roles, including Sales and Marketing, Operations, Quality, Program Development, Research and Development and Human Resources, including their respective staff. * Close working relationship with MEG Finance Director, Meggitt PLC FP&A and Corporate Accounting Staff and MUSA Legal
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE * Financial KPIs * Working Capital Total and Component Days * Operating Profit * Free Cash Flow * Accurate and timely preparation of annual strategic & profit plans * Accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements
BACKGROUND AND SKILL: * Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance, with a minimum of eight to ten years experience as a Vice President-Finance, Finance Director or Controller in a manufacturing environment; Advanced degree and/or CPA preferred * Familiarity with an MRP Operating System and Concepts of Lean Manufacturing. * Strong spreadsheet capability, primarily with Microsoft Excel. * Familiarity with IFRS accounting concepts, practices and procedures. * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Strong organizational and planning skills * Detail oriented
