DESCRIPTION

This role is a position in the Corporate Compliance Department. The position is the head of compliance training for CIT Group, requiring the person to perform and monitor all compliance training activities throughout the organization. The person provides oversight of business line execution of the enterprise compliance program with respect to its compliance training initiatives. The person delivers compliance training, keeps records of all compliance training activities, and provides general oversight of the compliance training program. The position reports to the Chief Compliance Officer.

-Execute the requirements of the Corporate Compliance Training Program
a. Create and deliver specialized, targeted training to diverse groups of employees
b. Manage the compliance training program for CIT Group including liaising with training vendors, reviewing training materials for accuracy and effectiveness, and setting the tone for the program
c. Develop written guidance and training materials for new or revised laws, rules, and regulations
d. Deliver training modules in person, telephonically, by webcast and other means
d. Assure adequate implementation of and reporting on training activities taking place within each business unit
e. Work with the business unit to implement new training activities and modules
f. Revised and approve the annual compliance training plan and select appropriate training modules, courses, and targeted training activities for various business units, leaders, the board, and others
g. Liaise with regulators and regulatory relations staff to explain and provide evidence of training activities during routine examinations or as needed.
h. Provide consistent, reliable and accurate reporting on state of compliance training activities at CIT for the Chief Compliance Officer, key compliance and business leaders, and the board and relevant control committees.
i. Works closely with Business Unit Compliance Officers to embed training activities within the businesses and to receive feedback about areas where training needs exist or require improvement.
j. Responds to regulatory or audit findings regarding compliance training and develops and implements action plans to correct weaknesses in training activities.
k. Works with compliance colleagues to improve and develop the overall compliance program and compliance controls within the organization based on knowledge gained during training activities.
This position focuses exclusively on compliance training activities at CIT and meeting our obligation to have an effective compliance training program in place for our employees, board, leaders and officers.




REQUIRED SKILLS

?7+ years of compliance training or other relevant training experience, preferably in a regulated financial institution
?Ability to be proactive, operate independently to get work done and goals achieved.
?Ability to understand complex regulatory requirements and incorporate them into meaningful and effective training exercises, modules and presentations
?Strong oral and written communications
?Ability to work effectively with many different groups within and outside the organization including staff members, regulators, senior leaders, and vendors
?Knowledge of bank and bank holding company regulations and related policies and procedures
?Highly organized in ability to plan and execute training activities in the near and long term.
