BlackRock’s Sourcing and Vendor Management's goal is to leverage the firm’s spend centrally to obtain the lowest total cost with the highest value while managing risk. Our risk analysts are responsible for working with sourcing managers and business partners to identify and assess the inherent risks of engaging vendors and to review vendor controls to determine residual risk to our company.
Responsibilities · Support Director of Vendor Risk Management in the daily activities of the Vendor Risk program · Maintain accurate and complete records of segmented vendors · Generate internal compliance metrics and vendor risk level metrics and provide reporting to department management · Run aggregate vendor and risks analysis reports to identify trends and potential problems; pull relevant industry and country reports to identify potential impact · Support risk analysts by coordinating and tracking progress of high risk vendor reviews (globally) · Support risk analysts by ensuring documents are appropriately filed in repository · Create and maintain remediation tracking records; escalate past due issues to Risk Analysts · Prepare decks for executive presentations · Monitor information quality and access for Vendor Risk Management activities · Work with Process Improvement Team, to finesse program specifications and risk requirements including document integration, web forms, and other process improvements. · Identify and recommend modifications for process and quality improvements · Maintain, improve and document changes to segmentation and risk filter tools (with support from Process Improvement Team) · Develop and maintain templates such as risk scorecards, RFP questions, etc. to support Sourcing Managers on RFPs
Requirements 3+ years of business experience with at least 2+ years of risk management with broad knowledge of vendor or third party risk impact · Basic understanding of the banking industry’s regulatory requirements for the managing of third parties (OCC, FFIEC, FSA, BASEL II, etc.) · Basic knowledge of third party contractual terms and conditions · Strong analytical and organizational skills · Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively · Strong writing skills · Proven ability to manage issues through to resolution · Ability to successfully multitask and complete difficult assignments within deadlines which may have short lead times · Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships · BS/BA
