USA Controller (Sports Management/Finance)
SUMMARY:
Candidate will be responsible for the financial over-site of the USA business. Specific duties will include complete financial reporting, sales analysis, margin analysis, cost and expense controls, budgeting and planning, design and implementation of financial controls, and financial over-views to Senior Management. Candidate will be an instrumental partner with the USA business team and will provide financial results to the Corporate Controller.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lead financial analysis, controls, accounting and reporting of USA business
Manage P&L and expenses of USA business
A/R close on bi-monthly basis
Concept Store accounting
Complete financial packages for Senior Management
Perform sales analysis, forecasting and establish USA budget
Develop sales programs with USA Sales Manager and sales compensation program
Oversee demand planning team. Contribute to pricing, margin, product forecasting and buy
Design and implement financial controls and policies as it relates to the USA business including reviewing all PO's, internal orders, capital purchases and credit card expenses.
Manage accountant and financial oversight of company owned store.
Oversee USA credit team. Provide direction and plan for managing troublesome accounts.
Provide detailed financial reporting using Oracle 11i, Access, and Excel
Supervision of finance support personnel dedicated to USA Sales
EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
7 + years of recent financial reporting including management experience
Oracle experience a plus
Experience creating ad hoc reports and working with database analysis tools essential
Previous experience as controller or assistant controller
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Mastery of Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and Discoverer
Oracle experience
Industry experience in consumer products or distribution a plus
