Koch Fertilizer Canada ULC,operates a production facility in Brandon, Manitobawhich produces primarily anhydrous ammonia, ammoniumnitrate, UAN and urea. In addition,
Koch Fertilizer, LLCowns storage and terminaling assets in northwest Europewith trading offices in Switzerland, France and UnitedKingdom.
Koch Nitrogen Company LLC is seeking a motivated andself driven Terminal Operator to work in our ammoniaterminal in Mattoon, Illinois. The successful candidatewill be responsible for operations and maintenance of ananhydrous ammonia terminal consisting of receipt ammoniafrom a pipeline, ammonia refrigeration and storage,ammonia heating and truck loading. This role includesmaintaining regulatory compliance and safety systems.

Requirements:

â?¢ Must be able to climb stairsâ?¢ Must be able to pass a pulmonary breathing test, weara gas mask type respirator and full Level A (SCBA) PPEâ?¢ Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., handoperate valves and use hand toolsâ?¢ Must be willing to be on a rotating 24 hour on-callschedule nights and weekends and work extended hours asrequiredâ?¢ Must live within 30 minutes of the terminal inMattoon, Illinoisâ?¢ Knowledge of PSM, EH&S compliance and ammonia terminaloperations or related chemical type facilitiesâ?¢ Ability to understand procedures and safety &environmental risks associated with related handling,shipping and storing anhydrous ammoniaâ?¢ Effectively communicate to managers, customers andpeersâ?¢ Experience or training in the installation,maintaining, operation and troubleshooting of complexelectrical equipment and electronic and pneumaticcontrol systemsâ?¢ Mechanical aptitude or background to work on pumps,compressors, seals, valves, fans, etc.â?¢ High School Diploma or G.E.D.â?¢ Instrumentation and electrical technical training orequivalent experienceâ?¢ Mechanical trainingPreferredâ?¢ 3+ years experience in chemical handling facilityâ?¢ 5+ years experience in ammonia handling facilityâ?¢ Experience working with chemical shipping and storageequipment and ammonia refrigeration processâ?¢ Instrumentation controls/electrical technicianbackgroundâ?¢ PLC programmingâ?¢ Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel andOutlookâ?¢ Associate Degree in Instrumentation and ElectricalTechnical Field
