In the Tax & Treasury Manager role, you will focus on developing, implementing and maintaining the income tax structure for the parent and its subsidiaries.

This role will challenge your knowledge of Canadian income taxes as you analyze the impact of changes within the organization. You will also identify and implement new tax opportunities to maximize the Enterprise's net income. This will be accomplished through the research of tax issues and preparing reports for senior management. This involves the development and utilization of various modeling techniques to assess the tax consequences of various structures.

In addition, you will be the key Canadian contact with our Finance team for the reporting of income taxes in accordance with US GAAP. You will develop, implement and maintain key internal controls to comply with US tax accounting standards and Sarbanes Oxley. You will be responsible to coordinate government agency audits and provide support on special projects as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess:

* Minimum of 5 years Canadian experience in a public practice tax group or in a multi-national corporation tax group.
* This experience will be complemented by a post-secondary education in Business, a professional accounting designation (CA/CGA/CMA), and completion or current enrolment in the CICA in-depth tax program.
* Knowledge of US GAAP and in particular accounting for income taxes is a definite asset. Knowledge of Microsoft is a must.
