Description BlackRock's infrastructure groups encompass a myriad of essential corporate functions that support every BlackRock employee and client, and every aspect of the firm's business. The Finance team is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, measurement and control of the financial resources of BlackRock and its subsidiaries. The Finance Group is comprised of three units: Accounting Policy and Controls, Business Finance and Corporate Controllers. General functions include financial accounting, financial reporting, management accounting, treasury, tax accounting, compensation/payroll accounting, auditing and certain other compliance functions. We are seeking an experienced tax professional (4-6 years maximum) who has a generalist background in corporate and/or public accounting, including tax returns and provisions with SALT/and or international tax exposure. Qualified candidates should also be able to perform research on various Federal and SALT matters. Responsibilities include: * Prepare annual tax returns/ estimates. * Perform tax research and support special projects. * Perform tax account analysis and reconciliations. * Assist with tax notices and audits. Candidate Profile: * Bachelors Degree in Accounting or similar field required. * 4-6 years of corporate tax experience in an accounting firm and/ or corporate tax department. * Understanding of FAS 109. * Solid Working Knowledge and Understanding of Tax Return Preparation, Process and Associated Documentation * Key Skills: Team player with excellent attention to detail, problem solving / analytical abilities, research skills and willingness to learn. * PC proficient with experience in Excel and various tax application software (e.g., * FAST- TAX/ InSource and online tax research tools).
