ParenteBeardis seeking a Manager for its Tax Practice in the Reading, PA office. Under the general supervision of Senior Managers and Partners, Managers have oversight of all regular and special matters for those clients assigned to them. This oversight includes: quality control of all work, review of work papers, research and analysis, preparation of all reports, planning, supervision and control of all phases of regular client services, engagement staff supervision and maintenance of client relationships. The Manager coaches and develops team members and participates in business development activities.

Successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 to 6 years of public accounting or related experiencealong with a record of progressively increasing knowledge, skill, responsibility and independence. Experience with tax engagements for middle market, pass through, and small business clients required. Experience with fiduciary (trust/estate) returns, particularly estate planning a plus. In addition, sound written and verbal communication skills, an ability to work independently or as part of a team and the capacity to appropriately interact with all levels of Firm management and staff, clients and other external business contacts are required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is , MST or JD ividuals in this position must have demonstrated computer skills and experience with accounting software is required. A valid driver’s license is also required.
