Job Description Baxter International Inc., a global diversified healthcare company with expertise in medical devices, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, seeks a talented tax professional to add to its State and Local Tax team in Deerfield, Illinois. The State & Local Tax Professional will be an integral part of the state franchise and income tax compliance function and the sales and use tax compliance function and will have the following primary responsibilities:
•Timely preparation of assigned state franchise and income tax returns;
•Assist with the preparation of quarterly estimates and extensions;
•Timely preparation of assigned sales and use tax returns;
•Prepare responses to state and local tax notices;
•Obtain, analyze, and upload monthly reports from various business units necessary for the preparation of tax returns
Job Requirements College degree in relevant major required (or country equivalent). CPA a plus. Three or more years of State Income / Franchise Tax and Sales/Use Tax compliance experience. Excellent organizational Skills; Good communication skills as the role requires interaction across various tax functions. Ambitious with a strong interest in tax compliance. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing task priorities and work situations. Detail oriented, deadline sensitive. Corptax State Compliance software expertise. OneSource OSU/RS Sales & Use Tax Compliance software working knowledge. Microsoft Office Product Suite proficient (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
