Job Summary:
Under limited direction, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to administer and manage complex enterprise software solutions. Act as primary support and central point of contact on large or multiple applications with significant impact, with some latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions. Work is evaluated at agreed upon intervals for achieving specified goals and objectives. Extensive contact with internal customers, other information technology (IT) professionals, and vendors is required to identify, research, analyze, and resolve system issues and problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* May coach and mentor less experiences associates.
* Manages and maintains complex software systems.
* Performs application software implementations and upgrades.
* Ensures high availability, security and integrity of assigned applications.
* Monitors application, including setting alerts to maintain the stability of the environment and application, monitoring error logs, and automating administration tasks wherever possible. Troubleshoots or refers to appropriate IT department, higher level of Systems Administration, or vendor.
* Evaluates and identifies ways to automate, streamline, and improve day-to-day maintenance and administrative practices.
* Installs or coordinates installation of application patches and releases on development, test, pre-production, and production systems.
* Ensures adherence to Service Level Agreements regarding application availability.
* Serves as central point of contact and as a liaison to other IT departments and application vendors regarding installations, server maintenance, licensing and upgrade issues.
* Serves as key person in troubleshooting system problems, taking ownership of problems to resolution.
* Effectively manages communication between end users, vendors, and IT departments to solve production, Pre-production, test, and development environment problems quickly.
* Creates and maintains accurate system run book for assigned systems.
* Maintains current description and documentation of application configuration, including tracking and documenting any changes to environments.
* Assists in capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning on assigned systems.
* Participates in disaster recovery planning, including assisting with fault tolerance and disaster recovery plans.
* Analyzes performance trends to optimize application performance.
* May provide second level support for Systems Administrator I.
* Adheres to established IT department policies and procedures.
* Maintains currency in systems administration practices and techniques.
* Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

* Concepts, principles and practices of systems administration.
* Application and web technologies.
* Architecture of assigned systems.

* Monitoring tools to ensure required availability of assigned systems.
* Policies and procedures used in IT and how they affect assigned systems.
* Concepts, practices and procedures used in the financial services industry.

* Virtualization concepts and technologies.
* Network and security concepts and technologies.

Skill in:
* Installing, maintaining, and upgrading application software.
* Identifying, troubleshooting, and escalating application problems.
* Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications.

Ability to:
* Act swiftly and accurately in a calm, professional manner to correct any disruption that may occur to an application or application server.
* Attend to detail in ensuring operations on application servers are accurate, including developing contingency plans.
* Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives.
* Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
* Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with internal customers and other IT professionals.
* Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
* Provide a high level of customer service.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of three.(3) years information technology experience, preferably in Systems and/or Application Administration.
