Hertz is currently seeking Sourcing Managers for their location in Park Ridge, NJ. The Sourcing Manager is responsible to design and execute a sourcing plan for a sub group, including Direct Materials (e.g. fuel, auto parts) Professional Services (HR, benefits, sales, marketing, or advertising). The Sourcing Manager will work directly with business stakeholders and other team members to develop and execute strategies that will deliver continuous cost, performance and process improvement.

Responsibilities of the Sourcing Manager:

• Lead and execute direct materials sourcing projects to include; strategy development, preparation of  RFP’s, supplier negotiations, business case recommendations, project management and contract execution
• Working collaboratively with business stakeholders and team members design and implement a productivity project pipeline process to identify cost and process improvements within the direct materials category.
• Manage and measure supplier performance against contract, manage supplier performance issues, one off and systemic
• Perform industry benchmarking and total cost of ownership analysis to identify continuous cost & process improvements

Requirements of the Sourcing Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree
• MBA preferred
• CPSM, CIPS or Lean/6 Sigma certification preferred
• 3 years of sourcing experience with a Fortune 500 or large industrial manufacturing company
• Experience in designing & executing sourcing strategies that consistently deliver measureable bottom line cost savings
• Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organizing/time management and problem solving skills
• Experienced negotiator, experience with negotiating contract terms including warranty provisions
• Well-developed knowledge of sourcing or category management processes, global sourcing experience preferred
• Results orientated, excellent analytical, process and problem solving skills
• Team player with initiative and a positive attitude
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
• Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong ability to effectively manage in a matrix organizational structure working with multiple internal stakeholders
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
