Conducts and documents regulatory compliance audit projects. Performs audit work consistent with established procedures. Recommends when scope of audit should be expanded or reduced. Reports discrepancies, delinquencies or regulatory violations. Identifies, assesses and evaluates possible risk. Clearly documents work performed and conclusions reached. Maintains accurate and complete records and controls and prepares statements and reports.
JOB SUMMARY :
The CAS Regulatory Compliance Staff Auditor is responsible for completion of regulatory compliance audit assignments in accordance with CAS Policies and Procedures under the supervision of a Senior Auditor or Audit Project Manager. This is a CAS entry level position
Duties: 1. Primarily completes assigned Control Performance Effectiveness work. 2. Assists the Senior Auditor or Audit Project Manager with basic Risk & Control Design Assessment tasks. 3. Identifies potential issues and drafts PFDs under the supervision of the Senior Auditor or Audit Project Manager. 4. Performs other duties as requested by management.
Personal Characteristic:
1. The incumbent should have 1-3 years progressive bank, regulator and/or audit experience, with an emphasis on regulatory compliance matters. CRCM designation preferred or willingness to obtain certification within 12 months of hire. 2. The incumbent should have unquestionable integrity, objectivity and probing inquisitiveness with a high tolerance for stress under adversarial conditions. 3. The incumbent should possess analytical skills to analyze a set of data and extract information critical to identifying and communicating the inherent and residual risk to the business line. 4. The incumbent should possess basic business knowledge of their assigned area of responsibility.
